Intensive English Program (IEP)

The Intensive English Program (IEP) is a full-time, noncredit certificate program that has five levels. New students receive a thorough English proficiency evaluation to ensure proper class assignment. Students entering the IEP should have at least low–intermediate English skills. Classes for this program meet 18 hours per week and are offered for three 10-week terms in the fall, winter and spring, and an 8-week term in the summer.

Courses offered at each level:

  • Writing

  • Reading and Vocabulary Development

  • Grammar or Integrated Skills

  • Spoken English and Listening
